I LOVE Miracles!!!
I LOVE Miracles!!!
Jesus is God's gift to the world, the Holy Ghost is God's gift to His children!
The Holy Ghost, and all of His gifts, are for the Church today!Spirit-filled Baptists ROCK!"I’m not under the curse, I’m not under the curse, since Jesus set me free. For poverty I’ve wealth, for sickness I’ve health, since Jesus ransomed me! "(Gal 3:13).
Jesus Himself “bore our sicknesses” so we could be healed! (Mat 8:16-17).
God is a Miracles, Signs and Wonders God!
The Gospel of Christ is a Miracles, Signs and Wonders Gospel“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power” (1 Cor 4:20). “And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen” (Mark 16:20). “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; … I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” (Rom 15:19).
And yet from this no hype, no super-sensationalism, healing miracles restoration gentle preacher's church come testimony after testimony of gold dust, angel feathers, third-heaven encounters, gems popping into the air... and he loves every minute of it.
Presents quite a quandary, doesn't it?

I notice that you have a very strange habit of bringing up gold dust when no one has mentioned it.
Even when you know that people here have experienced it, you bring it up, time and time again, and infer that it's bad (for whatever reason...people faking it, people being too stupid to know it's demonic, whatever). This time, you tie it in with your talking point about "no hype". Ironically, Bill Johnson's Church sees all of the manifestations you have mocked (as Kathi has stated).
You have done this on several occasions. I do not know why you keep doing it.
Regardless of your stance on it, the fact that people who post here (I'm not the only one) have experienced it, should caution you to stop bringing it up, and using it as a wedge or talking point. I'm rather tired of this tactic. You need to chill out, and that's putting it nicely. If I'm warned by the mods, so be it.

Check out this poor, ignorant, schlup. Poor kid doesn't know what is demonic and what isn't:
Feathers and Gold DustSome time ago Pastor Bill Johnson gave testimony about how God drops feathers in random places as a sign and wonder. Someone critically asked him why would feathers drop. His answer was simply, “I don’t know, I didn’t do it”. Since being here at BSSM I have seen it happen five times. Four times at church and once while helping a handicap person find his way back home.
Have you heard of gold dust appearing on hands? In October I was ushering in the overflow room at Bethel Church. I had heard some commotion at the other side of the room but did not pay attention to it. A while later Bill Johnson announced that there was gold dust in the overflow room. I looked down at my hands and to my delight my hands were sparkling with gold specks. There were many others experiencing the same sign. This wonder has continued until this day on my hands. Gold dust manifestations are not unusual at Bethel. The specks on my hands get lighter and denser or smaller and larger from day to day. Most of the time I need direct light to see the specks and they are almost always only on my palms. If I hold my hand in direct sunlight then rub a section of them off so that I can no longer see them they will return in about 30 seconds while watching my hand. While a fellow missionary, Lisa Bradley, was here for a conference I passed some of the gold dust on to her hands. At last report she had returned to Honduras and the manifestation of the gold specks were still there. I need to make it clear that these manifestation have nothing to do with our spirituality. They are simple a sovereign sign that the Lord does to bring glory to himself.
We also have people in our school that have found gems and diamonds in random places. Recently a student took some diamonds he had found to a Jeweler. The Jeweler examined the first one of the group and confirmed it was a diamond then handed it backed to the student saying he would not touch any more of them because he believed they were stolen. Apparently the student did not look like someone that should have several diamonds in his pocket..
It seems to me that God is way bigger than anyone had every told me. His love is so amazing! Today, Sunday the 28th, I prayed for a man that could not see well enough to read a Bible. He had a dark pair of sunglasses on. I said a simple prayer and then he could read his Bible! Jesus did a miracle for him. Is that awesome or what? The man’s name is John and he affirmed several times he was not able to read it before. To God be the Glory!
The same God that inspired the words of the Bible lives today and He continues to confirm his Word with signs following. Take a risk and believe that God actually meant what He wrote. Miracles, signs and wonders are just God loving on His people.
HAHAHAHA
Patricia King said something quite similar to that opening line when she was here this past weekend... said she'd been invited mainline pentecostal church and the head deacon picked her up at the airport. He said that he and the pastor had been talking and decided that she would be allowed to preach on any topic that she wanted, but she wasn't allowed to do the gold dust thing; they really, really did not want her to do that.
Somehow she kept a straight face and promised that she would not do any such thing.
The gold dust began manifesting at the women's conference the next day... things unravelled quickly later on in another meeting when the pastor ended up on the floor covered in it...
Amazingly, Patricia had absolutely nothing to do with it...

There was this really cool preacher; a good ole country boy from Georgia. He ministered at Camp quite a bit in the late 90s. He's gone home to be with the Lord now. His name is Bob Shattles. He had gold dust appear like ALL THE TIME. He would be on airplanes and people on the plane would get covered in it, and he'd lead them to Christ; even said that he lead quite a few flight attendants to Christ as well. He was an amazing evangelist! He told a story about 3 skeptics coming to one if his meetings (I think it was in Louisiana) and they ended up on the floor covered in gold dust.HAHAHAHA

He used to go to a restaurant owned by a friend of his and he'd stand up on a table during a crowded lunch time and say really loudly: "I'm in love with a man, and I'm gonna marry him one day!"And the gold dust would fall, and he'd have Church.
Amazingly.....Amazingly, Patricia had absolutely nothing to do with it...
Lwing you asked about the healings people receive from accidents....yes Bill had mentioned they have had people with serious injuries and metal plates totally healed. The metal disappears in their bodies as they are restored.
So he ministered to people like that in the meetings
In regared to the gold dust .........he never mentioned gold dust, feathers , gems or prayed for those things to happen
None of those things occurred and I don't think anyone in the conference went for that.
People were more hungry for God to pour out his Spirit and see lives changed.
His main focus is to take God's power through healing and miracles to the people .........the gold dust etc . is more of a by product if that happens.
He made a comment that seemed to imply that the church should be careful not to become a bless me club but to reach out to those outside.
So from my understanding he is not against gold dust etc. but he doesn't want that to be the MAIN focus.
The main focus was manifesting Jesus.

Look, as it were, through a telescope that will bring it up near to you; look into hell, and hear them groan; then turn the glass upwards and look at heaven, and see the saints there, in their white robes, with their harps in their hands, and hear them sing the song of redeeming love; and ask yourself--Is it possible, that I should prevail with God to elevate the sinner there? Do this, and if you are not a wicked man, and a stranger to God, you will soon have as much of the spirit of prayer as your body can sustain.
